Today’s culture seems to dictate a mentality that produces the path to least resistance.
If you have ever tried to change your ways you will know exactly what this means.
We are a product of our environment: if you are struggling with your weight it’s a likely that you friends and family are also struggling.
If you have never exercised regularly it’s likely that your inner circle follow suit.
Choosing to change your ways for the better is a personal choice and by default can put the people around you in a state of dis-ease and defence.
Often those around you will feel pressured to look at their own habits and beliefs and this leads to friction as they have not made a conscious decision to do so, you have inadvertently made the decision for them.
Don’t be offended when they fail to feel your excitement. Don’t be offended when they don’t share your enthusiasm. Don’t be offended when they stop supporting you.
This is one of the ugly truths of human nature.
I encourage you to follow this advice;
Understand that making a choice to improve your health is the correct decision for you as a person. Although it may upset those around you, your decision is for you, not them.
It’s not their fault; they have been conditioned to think this way.
Your life is yours to do with as you please and this is no exception.
Be strong, be consistent and succeed because it’s what you deserve!
